Back to All OfficesEstablished in 1982, the Singapore office is Sidley’s South East Asian regional base. The Singapore office provides multi-jurisdictional law advice principally in the fields of capital markets, global finance (including bankruptcy, restructuring, structured finance, securitization and asset finance), mergers and acquisitions (including public and private and private equity), investment funds, energy, project finance and infrastructure and life sciences. We also have the capability to provide international arbitration services, representing clients across the region on business matters relating to U.S. securities, stock exchange, SFC and other regulatory investigations, insolvency, antitrust, life sciences, construction, insurance, shipping, international trade and employment.
With 24 lawyers, including eight partners, resident in Sidley’s Singapore office, we regularly advise multinational and regionally-based corporations, banks and investment banks, state-owned enterprises and governmental ministries, agencies and other instrumentalities. Our partners have been the lead lawyers in a number of the most significant corporate and debt restructurings, securities offerings, privatizations and mergers and acquisitions in Asia.
Sidley lawyers in the Singapore office have been practicing in South East Asia and the Greater China region for a significant number of years, working on transactions throughout the region, in locations such as Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, in addition to Singapore. Our lawyers in Singapore speak Mandarin, Cantonese and other Chinese dialects, Bahasa Indonesia and Hindi, as well as English.
Sidley’s Singapore office is located in Six Battery Road, a landmark building situated in the heart of Raffles Place, Singapore's financial and commercial hub.
