Singapore Internship Program
Sidley in Singapore
Sidley is one of the few international law firms to have continuously maintained on-the-ground capabilities to serve clients in Asia Pacific for more than 40 years. Our Singapore office was established in 1982 and is Sidley’s Southeast Asian regional hub. In 2013, Sidley was one of the four international firms to be granted a license to practice local law in Singapore under Singapore’s Qualifying Foreign Law Practice program (QFLP). Sidley's QFLP license was renewed in 2024.
We provide U.S., English, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japanese law advice to clients throughout the region. Our lawyers, some of whom are trained or qualified in Indonesia, India, and the Philippines, speak several languages, including Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Hindi, Tagalog, and English.
Internship Program
Each year, we look for a select number of summer interns to join our Singapore office in June, July or August. During your four-week internship, you will spend time in two different practice groups and take on challenging assignments. You will also gain international experience by working on multijurisdictional matters with people around the world.
What We Look For
We hire law students who are in their penultimate year of study in Singapore or United Kingdom. We are looking for academically bright students who are genuinely intrigued by the commercial world, can work well with others, and get on well with clients. You will be in a strong position if you have perseverance, initiative, and an outstanding ability to analyze and learn.
